Maintenance of power line routes
Power line route management services include cutting and felling of shrubs and trees growing in power line protection areas, and power line route maintenance services. Vegetation felling and cutting can be done manually or mechanically, depending on the density and nature of the vegetation. Maintenance of power line routes includes annual inspection of power transmission networks, which identifies line defects that interfere with, or could interfere with, the smooth operation of the power line. After the line inspection line repairs are undertaken, which may include replacement of overhead line supports, insulators, lightning protection cables and other parts of the line that become a problem. One of the most important works after the preventive inspections is the cleaning of power line routes, cutting shrubs growing under cables, removing whole trees or pruning their branches.
